Draft — needs review

Content policy

MatLocker is for grappling discussion. Say what you need to say, be specific and be fair. Train the person, not the ego.

What you can say

You can say anything about your own experiences, your opinions, and the sport: a bad gym, a rough round, a coach you disagree with on technique, a competition result you think was wrong, something you wish you had said sooner. Hard truths about your own life on the mat are welcome.

What you can't

  • No doxxing: no real names with accusations, phone numbers, home or work addresses, or private photos of someone.
  • No threats or encouragement of violence.
  • No targeted harassment of named individuals, including piling on or repeating claims about a specific person.
  • No illegal content. No sexual content involving minors, no CSAM. Report it immediately.
  • No spam, scams, or malware links.
  • Accusations and drama communities may require pre-approval.
  • Technique advice is peer discussion, not medical or coaching advice.

Anonymous posts follow the same rules

  • Posting as “Anonymous Grappler” hides your name from other members. It doesn't change what's allowed.
  • If a post or comment looks like it names someone (a full name, phone number, email or address), we ask you to check it before it goes up.
  • Anonymous posts and comments can be reported like any other, and moderators can remove them.
  • Moderators can't see who wrote an anonymous post. Only site administrators can, only when needed to deal with a report, and every time they do it is logged.
  • Repeated upheld reports on your anonymous content lose you anonymous posting first. You can still post under your name. Serious or continued breaches lead to a ban.
  • Locked entries in My Locker are private journal notes. They are visible only to you, and the same rules apply if you later choose to publish one.

Mods and admins may remove posts that break this policy. This draft needs Jake's review.
